The event is in its 20th staging! The theme for the 2019 show is "Empowering Youths through Livestock Production for National Development". This theme was chosen to emphasize the focus of the show over the years, where hundreds of young persons have benefitted with animals from the signature calf scramble and the goat scramble which started a few years ago, as also the rabbit raffle for the junior students. The main events for the day will include: 1. Dairy Cattle Judging Competition 2. Beef Cattle Judging Competition 3. Goat Judging Competition 4. Sheep Judging Competition 5. Essay Competition 6. Now in its 10th year, the Committee for the Upliftment of the Mentally Ill (CUMI) Come Run takes place at the world-renowned Tryall Club in Sandy Bay, Hanover. This 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run takes participants through Jamaica's picturesque golf course. CUMI Come Run’s event raises funds for the homeless and to bolster the CUMI Trust Fund that supports the rehabilitation of the mentally ill in St. James and its environs.
