This is a month-long beach football/beach soccer knockout tournament. Two matches are held on Tuesdays and Sundays throughout June, with the Final match of the tournament, and Sharkies Int’l Futsal Tourney slated for July 1, 2019. The competition is highly organized and moderated by FIFA officials. The games are played according to international futsal rules, adhering to regulated pitch, ball and goals size as the teams play to win US$1,300 in cash prizes. The finale will be a one-day international beach futsal tourney where recreational beach futsal teams from the USA & the Caribbean will be invited to participate. Hotel partners will also be fielding teams comprised of guests and staff. This will be a fun day of recreational beach football and entertainment ending with performances from popular local artists. Even though the teams which participate in Sharkies Night Futsal one month knockout tournament are mainly local teams, this event is excellent for visiting spectators as it gives tourists the opportunity to join in a unique authentic Jamaican experience. Nothing is more unifying than good sport, good food, and sweet reggae music., this event is about having fun, playing beach futsal and soaking in the Jamaica vibes that the Sharkies Brand has to offer (Seafood, music entertainment, water sports, and tours).

This event takes you off-the-road and on-the-farm for a day of fun and competition for runners, walkers and mountain bikers. Held in Bog Walk, St. Catherine, the 5K Run & Walk plus a 20K race for bikers, features MyLaps® chip timing, country hospitality and post-race activities including tastings, refreshments and a dip in the farm’s pristine river! The 2nd bi-annual ‘For the Children’ fundraising concert will be staged on Saturday, June 1, 2019 by the Issa Trust Foundation (ITF) at Couples Sans Souci Resort In Ocho Rios. Returning to headline the show are ITF Ambassadors and multi-platinum selling Australian duo Air Supply. Air Supply hits include Lost in Love, All Out of Love, Every Woman in the World, Chances, Here I Am, Sweet Dreams and The One that You Love. Joining Air Supply will be Reggae Ambassadors Third World who are celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year. Regarded as one of Jamaica’s most accomplished bands, Third World will be performing classics from their hit filled catalogue including Now That We Found Love, 96 Degrees in the Shade, Try Jah Love, Committed, and Sense of Purpose. We are excited to present Jamaica’s newest musical sensation Koffee on the ITF stage. Koffee’s stated mission is to preserve Jamaica’s roots and culture in music and to empower the youth of her generation through her musical journey across the world. First gaining the public’s attention with her tribute to Usain Bolt, this 19 year old currently has some of the hottest songs enjoying airplay in the Reggae world including Toast and Burnin. Staged on the big lawn of Couples Sans Souci, all tickets will be inclusive of food by Couples’ award-winning Corporate Executive Chef, Stefan Spath. Top shelf spirits and wines will also be included. The funds raised from the event will enable the Issa Trust Foundation to continue its work improving healthcare facilities throughout Jamaica, this year focusing specifically on the Annotto Bay and the Savanna La Mar Hospitals’ pediatric and neonatal wards. Sunset Rave is a tropical fete party series hosted by Fresh Events of which patrons will have a unique tropical experience. The event, according to the promoter, offers the visitors the opportunity to experience the complete Jazz vacation. The theme for 2019 is: 'Return of Women in Jazz'. The Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) Hanover Association of Branch Societies (HABS), the pioneers for agricultural development and sustainability in the parish of Hanover and the home parish for the first time of the reigning National Farm Queen are proud to present the 4th Annual Hanover Agricultural Show to be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Jockey Factory, in Lucea, Hanover under the theme: “Agriculture: Producing More, Conserving More, Improving Lives”.The Show is the only one of its kind in the parish and is recognized nationally. Through our Show we are also able to advance the interest of local farmers, manufacturers and producers, as well as provide an avenue for the exploration of the best that the Parish has to offer in the areas of agriculture, business, tourism and entertainment while fostering opportunities for advertising, marketing and trade (local and international).Our Show over the last three (3) years impacted over 3000 lives including that of our farmers, youths and women. Inspiring youth and encouraging critical thinking through exposure to literature of all genres is one of the missions of the Department of Literatures in English (DLIE) at the Mona Campus of The University of the West Indies (The UWI). To this end, the DLIE and the Gloria Lyn Memorial Fund (GLMF) will once again be partnering with Two Seasons Guest House in Treasure Beach, the home of community tourism in St. Elizabeth on Jamaica’s south coast, to present the Two Seasons Talking Trees Literary Fiesta on Saturday, May 25, 2019, beginning at 10 a.m.Free to the public, this year is the sixth staging of the Fiesta and the third in collaboration with the DLIE and the GLMF.
